Embarking on a unique journey through color psychology, I crafted products to delve into the intriguing realm of how junk food and vibrant packaging can sway human appetite and purchase decisions. The culmination of this exploration was an experimental product exhibited in my graduate show.
The products inspired by retro tech products applied light and harmonious colors to create modern and nostalgic products worth collecting. The project incorporates the theory of synesthesia. A unique concept playlist, predominantly featuring hyperpop tracks, was curated to complement the vivid and eclectic style of products, creating a multisensory experience. The visual design also applies the trompe-l'oeil to simulate the effect of illusion.
Though this project ended in the preliminary concept stage, it inspired me to explore subcultural design themes, which was an important milestone in shaping my design preferences and style.
