COGRID-19 + MICA : Baltimore’s contribution to the COGRID-19 project is a collaboration with the graduate program at MICA Rebecca Bradley (Program Director MA Illustration) and Sandra Maxa (Program Director MA Graphic Design.) Their collaborative studio course brings together students from the Illustration, Graphic Design and Social Design departments to work together on projects for good. They joined forces with 9 Baltimore-based designers and illustrators to reflect upon what Baltimore has experienced over the past 2+ years and how it's maintained its charm and resilience. One of the tenets of MICA is to ‘thrive with Baltimore’ and their grid is a manifestation of that. Every penny raised by the sale of the Baltimore grids will go to The Black Mental Health Alliance.

During the pandemic, people were quarantined and worked from home. Girls saved on the expense of makeup, yet gradually grew lazier, neglecting to dress up. On the other hand, vaccines only enhance people's immunity against the coronavirus. Therefore, people must gradually learn to coexist with the virus in the long run to achieve herd immunity.
